Bonds vs Fixed Income

I've changed the asset class page to specify bonds instead of fixed income and moved the pref share discussion that was under fixed income to Canadian equities. Rather than screwing around with your work here and probably messing it up, I'll leave it to you to eliminate the fixed income distinction as you see fit.--yielder 19:27, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

- Does it? It's a Main Page item which puts it at the top of the hierarchy. The financial planning category is included in the page so using it would be a bit loopy.--yielder 03:27, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- If you don't give it a category, you can't get at it from the category page. Perhaps category Main?--Shakespeare 03:36, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- I went through all of the pages referenced on PD&C and added Category:Portfolio Design and Construction to each. That's the convention I've been using when setting up categories.--yielder 04:28, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but how do you get to the base pages themselves? They should also be accessible from the category menu. If no base page can be a member of its own category, then a higher-level category is needed to support it. The obvious one is Main, since then all pages except Main itself would be categorized. Main is accessible from the side menu, so it's still one click away. Otherwise, getting to a base page from the category page needs a separate navigation sequence via the side menu. It's better if all pages, except for the main page, can be accessed by a similar navigation sequence. --Shakespeare 04:36, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
