Do-It-Yourself Financial Webring Wiki

Welcome to finiki, the Financial Webring Wiki, a collaborative enterprise by the members of the Financial Webring Forum. finiki is an encyclopedia of financial subjects written from a Canadian perspective. finiki has a neutral point of view. finiki has a code of conduct. finiki does not have firm rules.

Anyone can read the wiki, but writing and editing privileges must be applied for. Be bold when updating pages. finiki will develop faster when everybody helps to fix problems, correct grammar, add facts, make sure wording is accurate, etc. How many times have you read something and thought, "Why aren't these pages copy-edited?" finiki not only allows you to add, revise, and edit articles: we want you to do it. It does require some amount of politeness, but it works. You'll see. Of course, others here will edit what you write. Do not take it personally! They, like you, just wish to make finiki the best that it can possibly be.

wikispeak isn't a difficult language to learn and speak. Nonetheless, it can be a barrier to those for whom it is not a mother tongue, i.e., technogeeks or for those who do not have an ear for languages. Therefore, if you'd like to write something, write it in whatever application you'd like and email it to managing_editor@finiki.org and we'll figure out how and where to include it. For others, see the Guide For Contributors if you would like to become a writer and editor.

“The mention of a mutual fund, exchange-traded fund, or other security in this Wiki should not be taken as a recommendation to purchase or sell. Investors must conduct their own due diligence before investing. Similarly, description of tax and legal issues should not be construed as professional advice. Investors are strongly urged to consult an accountant or lawyer for specific recommendations to fit their personal circumstances.”
