I started a rewrite on this to add and clarify information. As most of the fund-traded accounts generally refer to themselves as ISAs (Investment Savings Accounts) I've changed to that name to distinguish them from HISAs. When I get a chance I'll do a bit more cleanup and include something on the ISAs often being held in nominee name by brokers. NorthernRaven 09:09, 28 June 2012 (MDT)

The second section includes the paragraph "As securities priced under $3 are not marginable, HISA funds with a $1 unit value cannot be used as collateral for margin. On the other hand, ISA funds with a $10 unit price generally have a loan value of 95%, consistent with money market funds." I'm not sure why this is relevant, although I have no reason to doubt its correctness. Why would an investor care? Why would an investor collateralize a margin loan with cash, given that the carry will almost certainly be negative.

Any thoughts?

Would it be possible to show current rates for HISAs?

Current rates are subject to change without notice and therefore would require significant effort to keep current and accurate. There are other sites that undertake to maintain current rate lists, they are linked into the article.
