Talk:Canada child tax benefit

From finiki, the Canadian financial wiki

Thanks for the edits PI. I forgot to check if there were any existing finiki topics to link to. I didn't realize there were so many.

I think it would be a good idea to redirect NCBS (spelled NCB on CLB page) and CDB to this page as they are part of the same program.

I think programs like Quebec child assistance should have their own page. http://www.rrq.gouv.qc.ca/en/programmes/soutien_enfants/paiement/Pages/paiment.aspx

I'll try the redirects for now

I noticed adrian fixed up some stuff and added UCCB. I guess we should redirect that here as well as it probably doesn't need it's own page. I should maybe mention somewhere that UCCB isn't counted in net income for the CCTB calc.

Update needed to reflect changes to Universal child care benefit (UCCB) that came into effect in July 2015

Per Universal child care benefit (UCCB) "The UCCB was increased to $160 per month for each child under the age of six.

The UCCB was expanded to children aged 6 through 17. Parents will receive a benefit of up to $60 per month for each child in their care aged 6 through 17." --Peculiar Investor 07:32, 21 July 2015 (MDT)
