Talk:Cash account

From finiki, the Canadian financial wiki

I am unable to find any credible sources which clearly define a "regular" account. This definition is used in several different contexts as described on the page, but nothing I could find is formalized. Should this page instead be deleted? --LadyGeek 18:08, 23 December 2015 (MST)

Checked TD Direct Investing and RBC Direct Investing and the common name is cash account. Moved to this name and resolved what links here. --Peculiar Investor 18:34, 23 December 2015 (MST)
That helps. Where is the regulatory definition of a cash account? Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and Canadian Investor Protection Fund provided a deep-dive into the regulations, but I could not locate an top-level summary that's helpful for new investors. For example, the US Securities and Exchange Commission has this: Cash Account. Wikipedia merely references Investopedia, which is focused on the US and is not very informative. --LadyGeek 19:21, 23 December 2015 (MST)
