Sidebars

Hi LadyGeek, I see that you've added the "Fixed income" and "Cash management" sidebars to this article. While market-linked GICs have "GIC" in their name, they are actually a complex structured product which can be modeled as a zero-coupon bond plus a call option on a stock market index. So market-linked GICs are not a type of fixed income, in my opinion: the return is not fixed, and may be zero. So I recommend removing both templates. Regards, ---Quebec 12:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

Yes check.png Done Hi Quebec, thank you for the correction. I have removed the sidebar templates and restored the "Fixed income" and "Cash management" sidebars to their previous versions. --LadyGeek 12:54, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

Navigation templates

Hi Quebec, The navigation templates at the bottom of each page should include a link to the page. This allows readers to follow the links among similar groupings. {{Deposit Rates Institutions}} and {{Asset classes navbox}} should include a link to Market-linked GIC.

This is not the case (as noted above). Please replace the navigation templates with the appropriate choice. Perhaps a "Structured product" category can be added to {{Asset classes navbox}}? This may not be correct, but it is an example of a workable approach. {{Deposit Rates Institutions}} can be removed. --LadyGeek 23:47, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
