Talk:Permanent life insurance

From finiki, the Canadian financial wiki

I replaced this misleading statement:

If your life insurance needs are only temporary, then term insurance is the proper choice.

While the policy is only in effect when payments are made, that's not the intent. The costs of term life are far lower than permanent insurance. Unless you have the situations described in the page, term life will always be the better choice. Never use insurance as a replacement for investments. --LadyGeek 17:26, 29 January 2017 (MST)

Cleanup needed, Refimprove

The material in this article was extracted, as is, from the main life insurance page, to simplify that page and make it a basic overview of life insurance in Canada. What we are left with here, in the Permanent life insurance page, is a somewhat disorganized, difficult to understand presentation, with few references. Much work is needed to make this article clear and well referenced. I don't intend to do this personally - too complex a topic - but I don't want to delete the material either, so I've tagged the page with both "Cleanup" and "Refimprove", in addition to adding a warning to readers in the lead section.--Quebec 06:58, 30 January 2017 (MST)
