Template talk:Citation needed

Is there any reason behind the red colour choice. The template's history doesn't seem to reveal a reason and Template:Citation needed - Wikipedia uses skin default colours. If no clear reason, then I'd propose changing it back, or better still, fully implement the Wikipedia version. --Peculiar Investor 20:24, 26 November 2012 (MST)
